Let’s Talk About Race

Date: 24 July 2020

As part of our commitment towards improving understanding, education and awareness following the Colindale report, we are working with Business in The Community to deliver a series of workshops and webinars around race equality.

The first webinar is planned for Wednesday 29th July 1.00pm – 3.00pm. Places are limited to 100 and you can book your place via the link below and you will receive joining instructions to the virtual session a day before: Let’s Talk About Race Workshop – Wednesday 29th July – 1.00 pm – 3.00 pm

These sessions recognise the importance of all employees understanding the dynamics of race within the workplace and the need for open and honest conversation about this topic in order to address any inequalities.

The overarching aim of the workshop is to enable participants to start and continue having conversations about race, by providing them with information, examples, good practice and opportunities for discussion.

These sessions aim to provide a safe space for all; to encourage conversations about race in the wider workplace, to recognise barriers and challenges and to build an inclusive environment where everyone’s identity and experience is acknowledged, valued and utilised.

An expert/experienced trainer will facilitate each session and will navigate this sensitive topic, constructively challenge, and encourage and enable delegates to see things from a different perspective, delivering ‘penny drop’ moments.
