Stepping Up programme now accepting BAME applicants

Date: 16 July 2019

The Stepping Up programme, run by the NHS Leadership Academy, is now accepting applications from black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) colleagues who work within the NHS at bands 5 to 7 or equivalent.

This leadership development programme aims to create greater levels of sustainable inclusion within the NHS by addressing the social, organisational and psychological barriers restricting BAME colleagues from progressing. The programme is designed to bridge the gap between where applicants are and where they need to be, to progress into more senior roles.

Applications will be reviewed on a first come first served basis. There are a maximum number of 42 spaces allocated and we expect these will fill quickly.

To find out more about the programme structure and to apply, please visit the Stepping Up web pages.

If you have any questions about the programme, please contact the dedicated team via SteppingUp@leadershipacademy.nhs.uk
