Workforce Policy and FAQ Updates

The key changes are:

Personal and Professional Development:

  • Clearer guidance on what is considered to be ‘vital’ development.

Travel and Expenses Policy:

  • Guidance added for claiming expenses if travelling overseas
  • Prior authorisation by Chief Exec on exceptional expenses
  • Expected hire car use in certain circumstances
  • Introduction of notional mileage deduction for home based workers
  • Update allowance titles
  • Improved guidance on claiming when staying in non-commercial accommodation for business purposes
  • Set out expectation of receipts being submitted electronically
  • Include guidance on what is a temporary work place

 Flexible Working Policy:

  • To reflect the changes to notional mileage for home based workers

Attendance Policy:

  • Provide additional clarity for moving from one stage to another
  • Provide Stage 3 panel with more flexibility to apply required improvements and timescales appropriate to the case, where an alternative to dismissal is considered.
  • Greater clarity to what is ‘self-certification’
  • Guidance eon infectious conditions
  • Guidance for annual leave while on phased return
  • Update information required for stage 3
  • Guidance to panel for alternative to dismissal at Stage 3

Lease Car Scheme:

  • Guidance for Retire and Return
  • Licence checks will ow be carried out annually
