Equality and Succession Planning

NHSBT are working towards applying an inclusive talent management approach for all colleagues. This will take some time to evolve. Every Manager needs to have a conversation with each member of their team. This conversation should revolve around about their career aspirations and development needs. We have therefore started this approach with senior leadership colleagues. As our talent management model evolves, we will communicate how we will apply this to the organisation.

It is important that all NHSBT colleagues have an annual PDPR. This will help to ensure that equality of opportunity exists.

A PDPR is a meaningful two way conversation. It gives colleagues the opportunity to discuss their career aspirations, development needs and their development plan with their line manager.
