Vacancy Bulletin
All vacancies at NHSBT, whether permanent, fixed-term/ temporary or secondment, are advertised openly through our eRecruitment system at https://jobs.nhsbt.nhs.uk/internal/Home/Job. You can search and filter vacancies by job title, location and job categories. Please note, internal-only vacancies are available to those working within NHSBT at the time that the advert is live. The application deadline will be specified on the vacancy posting, and this will always be on Wednesday or Sunday (or Monday if there is a bank holiday). If you have been identified for redeployment, you can tell us when you apply (please do not select this unless you have been formally identified).
You can also set up a job alert to be notified about vacancies that are of interest to you as soon as they are posted. Click on 'Create alerts' to do this.
NHSBT has recently launched a new Careers website, designed to help potential candidates gain a better understanding of NHSBT and the career opportunities we offer. As part of this update, we have revised how jobs are categorised in our job search to more accurately reflect key roles and career areas at NHSBT.
If you have any job alerts set up within Jobtrain, we advise logging into your account to review and update these to ensure you continue to be notified when vacancies which meet your criteria are added to the site. To access your account, visit the candidate portal, guidance to assist you in setting up an alert is available.
What can you expect when you apply?
We use standard application forms so that all candidates can be screened fairly. Your application will be reviewed by at least two colleagues. If you are selected for interview, you will be interviewed by a panel of at least two colleagues. Your interview may take place through MS Teams or in person, and wherever possible you will be offered alternative slots for the appointment.
At the interview, you can expect to be asked competency-based questions. The same questions are asked of all candidates, though interviewers may ask follow-up questions to check understanding. If a test or presentation is involved, you will be briefed beforehand. All panel members must undergo training before they are allowed to be involved in recruitment, which includes our policies on fair recruitment. Hiring Managers are asked to give feedback to all internal candidates.
Accessibility and reasonable adjustments
The candidate portal offers an accessibility reader to make it easier for those with visual impairments. You have the opportunity through the application to inform the recruitment team if you require reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process.
Good luck with your application!
