2022 Pay Award
NHS Employers have announced the 2022 pay award for colleagues on NHS Terms and Conditions (Agenda for Change) in England only. It is anticipated that the pay award will be paid to colleagues in September and the award will be back dated to 1st April 2022.
The pay award provides a minimum of a £1,400 consolidated uplift on full-time salaries. The England Pay Award Changes document shows how the agreed monetary increase affects your pay point by percentage.
If you are a member of the NHS Pension Scheme, your contribution rate may be affected by the 2022 pay award. Please check the Cost of being in the Scheme page to see if your pay increase affects your pension banding.
Please note: the 2022 pay award for our colleagues in Scotland and Northern Ireland is yet to be confirmed. As soon as NHSBT is informed of any pay award agreement for Scotland and Northern Ireland we will communicate the details to colleagues as soon as possible. Details of the pay award for our colleagues in Wales is detailed below.
The Scottish Government has now agreed the 2022 pay award which is effective from 1 April 2022.

The Welsh Government has agreed a minimum consolidated uplift of £1,400 to all pay points for all Agenda for Change staff in Wales which will be back dated to 1st April 2022.
Colleagues will receive the pay award and arrears in their September 2022 salaries.
